We are an emerging startup and our core product is a social media platform designed to connect organization administrators to their members or users. Much of the groundwork has been completed, so we are looking to grow our founding team and bring in someone with a technical skillset to continue the development of the product.

We are seeking a talented technical Head of QA to join our team. As the head, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the product, resolving current and future issues and will be instrumental in bringing our vision to life. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the technical direction of the company, and to make a meaningful impact on its success.

As head of QA, you will create manual test plans and automation test suite to test both web and mobile applications, to identify and help resolve bugs, defects, and other potential issues. We are looking for an experienced individual who can help build a bug free product and deploy our vision.

Previous startup experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

+ Learn the MVP product as it exists today to become a hands on lead of the product quality team + Review design specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and function of the software product

+ Identify appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate; parameters may include general function, validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards

+ Develop test plans for manual testing

+ Develop automation suite for automated testing

+ Implement new processes and create new tools to automate testing

+ Conduct both manual and automated testing to ensure products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines

+ Identify, log, and recreate error codes, bugs, and defects

+ When a product does not perform within specifications, report defects to programmers while identifying and recommending solutions, improvements, updates

+ Manage open defects/issues till all open items are successfully closed

+ Conduct end to end testing with every deployment cycle

+ Help maintain the quality of products

+ Collaborate with other co-founders to set the product roadmap and strategic direction of the company from quality perspective + Partner with other co-founders to help improve product usability

+ Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

+ Ability to quickly come up to speed with product to make meaningful contributions from day 1.

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

+Extensive knowledge of software and database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored jobs, and error replication.

+ Ability to create test plans and cases from specifications or verbal communications.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers and customer support.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software like Jira, Trello.

+ Quick learner, self-motivated and ability to work independently.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Equity: 2% equity in the product
